Join us for a hike in celebration of National Get Outdoors Day!
Join us for a guided group hike at the beautiful Brooker Creek Headwaters Reserve near Lutz/Keystone, Florida for National Get Outdoors Day. June 14, 2025
This land serves as the headwaters of the Brooker Creek system. This property includes a mosaic of forested swamps, floodplains and low-lying uplands. The uplands include pine flatwoods, xeric oak hammocks, and mixed hardwood and pine prairies. We will show you where to will find endangered hooded pitcher plants. These are only found at this location in Central Florida!
This is the largest parcel of undisturbed property in Hillsborough County. What a gem to explore!

What to bring on your guided group hike:
Bring enough water for 2-3 hours being active in the sun. One of our favorites is the Nalgene BPA Free Tritan Wide Mouth Water Bottle, 32 Oz.
Insect Repellent - We prefer Natrapel - I does work for a full 12 hours as it states!
Sunblock - Even if you wear a hat you still need protection! We love the Stream2Sea Reef Safe Sport Sunscreen. You can order some on your own or call in advance and we can bring you a package!
Pack these items and your favorite snack in your favorite day pack and you should be all set. Remember to wear closed toe shoes. Dress in light, breathable clothing, & bring your camera or cell phone to take photos!
*Remember we will be meeting at the trail head off Ramblewood Road in Lutz (Near Keystone) At 8 AM - There are no bathrooms at this trail head. Please make sure you pre-pay for your reservation as we have to limiti the number of attendees on this hike. Don't forget to share this event with your friends on FB
