Nature Journaling is a creative way to explore nature and record all the wonderful things that we discover.
In this class you will learn some simple activities that you can use to start your own nature journal.
This is a fun family activity that can help you develop strong bonds with your children. Because children already have a natural curiosity and a desire to figure things out this is a great opportunity to give them a way to focus.
A nature journal is also a place to write, draw, or paint our ideas, feelings, and experiences. You can even add in a scrapbook feel by storing findings and pictures as well!
Parents and teachers have the opportunity to use a nature journal to help kids develop deeper connections with nature, grow a stronger appreciation for the wildlife they encounter, and grow a desire to protect our wild places.
Pre-paid reservations are required 10 person minimum - 30 person maximum:
Youth ages 7-12: $7 per
Youth w/ book: $12 includes hardbound Nature Journal
Adult Chaperone: $4 - youth must be accompanied

* Note - There will be adequate place to spread out and social distance - this is an outdoors class.
What you need to know about for class
Youth must be accompanied by supervising adult. Adult pricing is at a reduced rate.
Bring refillable water bottle and snacks if needed.
Dress properly for the weather, long pants and closed toe shoes are HIGHLY recommended
Be sure to bring insect repellant and sunscreen
At some locations there are not restroom facilities - please prepare.

Think safety and enjoyment
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, it's important to take care of yourself and those around you. Practicing good hand hygiene such as washing your hands, not touching your face with unwashed hands, social distancing from others, and wearing a mask when you can't avoid being near other people are all good steps to take. These steps are especially important for those with a higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
We do ask that you wear a mask when you can't maintain at least 6 feet (2 meters) from people you don't live with until risk passes.
