The clean-up teams will consist of teams of individuals who will work along the edge of the water, up to waist deep. Afternoon teams will assist professional divers in the Springs. Each team will have a leader who is familiar with this project to assist the team. Each individual should bring the following items:
 • Water shoes or diver booties with closed toes
 • Cotton gloves
 • Bathing suit or shorts
 • Sun screen
 • Cap or hat
If you are a new volunteer, please arrive 15 minutes earlier than the times listed for orientation. If you have participated in a clean-up already, just arrive at the gate at the indicated time.
All volunteers will be required to complete volunteer waivers. Anyone under age 18 must have their parent/guardian sign the waiver. Parents must remain with their children during the clean-up session. Volunteers do not have to belong to Rotary in order to participate in this event. There will be positions available for volunteers not wishing to get into the water. Individuals, clubs, and work-related teams are encouraged to join us to help Save Weeki Wachee Springs.
We have a BBQ picnic after the MORNING clean-ups. If you’d like to bring something to share, please feel free to bring snacks, desserts, or side-dishes.
