Tour of Crowley Museum and Nature Center, Visit to Tatum House, Blacksmith Shop, Saw Mill, Old Schoolhouse, Museum and guided nature hiking along the Children’s Discovery Path (learn about native animals and birds). Learn more about early Florida Pioneers.

Here are some things you should know:

Check-in time is any time after 2 PM on Saturday - You are free to arrive at your leisure – Pack light – the list is below.
Dinner will be served around 6:30 pm Saturday for campers. Sunday morning breakfast will be at 7 am.

PLEASE REVIEW THIS ENTIRE NOTICE IF CAMPING.

We will have iced tea, coffee, and water available - please bring your own refillable container to promote reduce, reuse, recycle principles. We do not provide soda.

NOTE: If you have your own personal mess kits please feel free to bring to save on waste produced from all the paper goods. Not a Clue is “Going Green” All campers are asked to bring their own mess kits to camp if they have them.

Below is some information you will need for the planning of your trip. You will be asked to sign a waiver/release upon arrival. Minor children’s names can be added at bottom of parents' document.

Take Exit #210 Fruitville Road and drive EAST 10 miles to the dead end. Turn RIGHT on Myakka road. Go 3 miles, Crowley is on your LEFT. If you travel over the bridge to the north entrance of Myakka State Park, you missed us by a mile 🙂 . Enjoy the park, and come on back by….
DIRECTIONS: Route #70
WEST: Take route #70, exit #217B, travel to Verna Road. Turn RIGHT and travel SOUTH for approximately 6 miles to the Crowley entrance on your left.
EAST: Take hwy #70 to Verna Road. Turn LEFT. Travel approximately 6 miles to Crowley entrance on your LEFT.

Rental Tents

Friday Camping - activities are open to all campers.
Campfire activities will include smores or other treats and stories around the fire and possibly a night hike.
Join us for a hike - We will offer guided hikes out to the tower and learn a bit about Florida Ecosystems and basic wild edibles.

Other Activities – Children’s Discovery Trail (with spider web, gopher tunnel and more for kids), Pioneer area, and Museum. Nature Trails, wildlife viewing and so much more. Neighboring Myakka River State Park also offers a Canopy Walkway, airboat tours and kayak rentals.

Nearest Store - appx 10 miles away at I 75 and Fruitville Road. Plan appropriately. GET GAS/ICE WHEN YOU GET OFF THE INTERSTATE IF YOU ARE RUNNING LOW

Facility Rules:

• Pets are welcome in the camping and learning center of the park and the trails close to the campground. Pets are not permitted in the Pioneer Area. Visitors should remember to clean up after their pets and keep pets on a 6-foot hand-held leash at all times. Service animals are welcome in all visitor-use areas in the park. Please advise if you are considering bringing your pet, you will be responsible for your pet at all times and you may not be able to participate in all activities if you bring a pet.

Upon entering the facility you will take your first right and follow the road to the designated parking area.
The speed limit on the property is 10 mph, please be respectful and stay alert as there are many animals on the farm. The camping area is past the screened-in 'learning center'.

Attaching hammocks is strictly limited to the camping area.
Check-out time is 9:00 a.m. Quiet time is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

What Campers should bring with them

Lawn/ Camp Chair
Flash Lights, head lamps
Changes of Clothes/shoes (long pants recommended – lots of poison ivy)
Towels and toiletries (toothbrush, Wet Ones, etc) - There are no showers available.
Extra jacket and sweater – always best to dress in layers
You should wear closed-toe shoes – flip flops are not recommended except around camp and not around the firepit (we do have poison ivy around the edges of the campground and along trails)
Sleeping bag – extra blanket suggested!!!– pillow
Bug Spray, Sun Block
Sm cooler with ice for specialty drinks/meds/picky eaters/special diets
A separate bag for dirty clothes
Bicycles, yard toys, balls, Frisbees, book, etc
Camera, batteries

*If you want some cushion to sleep on bring a blow-up pool raft under your sleeping bag. Please note that if you are bringing an air mattress, it does get cooler in the evening, please place a blanket under your sleeping bag or sheets as well. The air in the space between you and the ground will be colder than if you slept on the ground.
We do have electricity, water, and bathroom access at the Learning Center (No shower) - camping is primitive (no water or electric in the tent area).
You can also charge your cell phones, handheld GPS for Geocaching, and camera batteries in the Learning Center.

PLEASE NOTE NO FOOD OR DRINKS OTHER THAN WATER ARE PERMITTED IN THE RENTAL TENTS PROVIDED BY NOT A CLUE ADVENTURES AT ANY TIME. We also ask that if your child brings an electronic device it only is used after they turn in for the night or as a camera only.
