Nature in the Classroom

Bring nature into your classroom with Not a Clue Adventures. It’s educational and fun. A member of our team can visit schoolroom for grades pre-K-8.

We have a number of different topics we can come in an share with your students including but not limited to:

Nature Journaling (Language Arts teachers love this one)

Leave No Trace Awareness Workshops – Certificate offered for 1-2 hour class (teaching individual responsibility)

Florida Native Animals (from stuffed animals for the young students to animal artifacts for older students,we offer a variety of options for a fun, hands on class)

Introduction to Florida State Parks – What you can learn from visiting our state parks – History comes alive! This class works best with multiple visits. 1st visit – an intro to the parks, planning a visit, slide show of parks, assign students as individuals or in groups to choose a park and do a report or presentation on. 2nd visit – review assigned projects and share what youth have learned about park they were assigned to present on.

Bird Watching 101 – Birdwatching has become one of the most practiced past times in the United States for a reason. First, it brings people closer to nature and for the most part it can be an affordable hobby; second, it can be practiced almost anywhere.

Introduction to Geocaching, Map Reading – Geocaching, like orienteering, develops map reading and navigational skills, only with one sole location rather than a sequence of control points.

Youth Safety in the Outdoors (How to be safe when not at home) Youth will learn many safety tips that will keep them safe when in the outdoors.

Each 30- to 45-minute presentation consists of  educational information, interaction between students and guest speaker, artifacts and objects for students to see and touch and more.
